In my fifth term teaching at Istanbul Kültür University, I bring working studio methods into the classroom. Students learn to turn visual research, image making and typography into clear design ideas.
I teach through focused briefs and hands-on production. Students move from learning the tools to building an idea, making choices about image and type, and refining the result through feedback.
A cinema-poster exercise gives students a practical way to connect image sourcing, compositing and typographic hierarchy.
